Human Resource Project

Staged at the infamous Judson Memorial Church in Greenwich Village, “The Human Resource Project” was commissioned by Peculiar Works Project in 1997 to be part of their Big Art in Small Places performance series.  Working with six actors (including: Arthur Aulisi, Kathy Blume, Patrick Lacey) Aron developed The HR Project  using manuals from different  HR departments of large corporations as spring boards. These  included  instructions and surveys for hiring, reviewing and firing employees. The short 30- min. piece “HR Project”  performed throughout the day as audience wandered through the gallery of performance  and installation pieces.

The Human Resource Project offered images of an incompletely de-humanized and chastity-belted corporate America.  With most claims of audience participation proving shallow, Big Art reveals promising depths to be plumbed” – Scott Blumenthal, Village Voice
